My two days one night were basically spent on visiting Singapore's two newly open casinos

Resort World and Marina Bay Sands

But what was valuable was the time spent with parents

And of course shopping...!!! =)

We only visited Universal Studios entrance, but we are going back there at the end of the year for holiday.

Got this inspiring e-mail from Chee Yang... So thought of sharing with people who's crossing this blog... Have a look... =)

"The Turtles"

A turtle family decided to go on a picnic. The turtles, being naturally slow about things, took 7 months to prepare for their outing. Finally, the turtle family left home looking for a suitable place. During the second month of their journey, they found an ideal place at last!

For about six weeks they cleaned the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered that they had forgotten the salt. They all agreed a picnic without salt would be a disaster. After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: No one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left.

Three months passed and the little turtle had not returned. Five months... Six months... Then on the seventh month of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He announced that he was going to eat. At that point of time, the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, "See! I knew you wouldn't wait. Now i am not going to go get the salt."

So true isn't it... Perhaps the months used in this turtle story is a bit exaggerating, but isn't that what many people are doing... Something for all of us to think about... =)

Adelaide Last Part

Day 5 was mainly spent being around Adelaide City, walking around, eating at brother's normal eating place when he was still in uni and going to Adelaide's known to be the biggest shopping center, Westfield Marion.

Day 6 was considered as my last day in Adelaide

Went off to Hahndorf, a german-like town along with some of brother's friends

Adelaide Part 4

Went to the major wine-producing region of South Australia, Barossa

Went to "The Whispering Wall" after which i found really really amazing!

You'll be able to hear it clearly from the other end, yes i'm serious, the far far end.

This whispering wall definitely cheers me up,

That's going to be so romantic and sweet! =D

Thereafter we shot off to see the biggest rocking horse in the world

Fine, i'm still young at heart

I was again amazed and happy to see it =P

This is the rocking horse!

See how tiny brother was compared to the rocking horse

We could actually access to go up the rocking horse for AUD$2, but we didn't give it a go.

It's a pity we didn't, but well i don't really regret it,

I was satisfied to see the rocking horse by itself just like this

That's pretty much my Day 4 in Adelaide =)

I'm tired and sleepy right now which explains the lack of enthusiasm in this post,

Paid a visit to brother's new working office before heading off to our destination for the day

But brother's friend called to ask us to detour to Hindmarsh Island to see whether there are any crabbing area around

To disappointment, the crabs there are mainly sand crabs, not suitable to be cooked or eaten

Then we went back up to Adelaide and joined brother's friends for dinner

Off we went to Adelaide Zoo to see Wang Wang and Funi

They are the two giant pandas in which Adelaide Zoo has been entrusted the care with

Adelaide Zoo wasn't part of our itinerary in the first place

But for Wang Wang and Funi being the only giant pandas in the Southern Hemisphere

So i still can't wait for the few more weeks before i go back Malaysia to cut

But my front is short again

After very long Rachael only realised

Cause that was how my hair was when i first reached Melbourne

One year

It had been a year, an exact one year marked by December 10.

This day one year ago, i declared to stop blogging.

That was the day we broke up.

Thinking about my Australia exchange program for the past one year, it felt like i've been through a lot.

But whenever recalling about the memory with him, it still felt like yesterday.

One year ago, i moved all his messages to a folder i won't see but it existed.

One year after, it took me quite a bit of courage to open that folder.

I read through all the 300+ saved messages one by one.

And i deleted them one by one.

It's painful, but it was a pain which i was supposed to face a year ago which i couldn't bring myself to.

Instead i'm glad i did what i did today.

I reminised what happened, those happy days.

But at the same time, reading all those messages in a calm mood and clear mind, i saw what went wrong.

It wasn't him, it was me.

He couldn't have done more than enough to make me feel secured.

I was too blind to see what he had been doing.

I had been too deaf to hear what he had been saying.

Reading back all those messages conveying of what he had been trying to tell me and the patience that accompanied it.

It was my wrong to doubt him.

I was a lucky girl that time.

He made a right choice to break up with me, cause the relationship had been a tiring one.

Trying to convey a same message over and over again, how can it not drain his energy.

Looking back, i couldn't feel more glad that we had been together once.

But i'm even more relieved that he made that decision, because it's really for the two of our's good.

I treasure this relationship we once had, as beautifully as the relationship started, it ended as peacefully as it could.

Thank you for all those you did for me back than, it was me who didn't appreciate it.

But i'm glad everything had come to an end.

Gold Coast Day 4 (Part 2) + Gold Coast Last Day

Dinner at Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant, BroadBeach

They didn't allow photography which explained the lack of pictures during the whole dinner time

But it's definitely an UNIQUE experience!

From the Entrance

to the Ghost Train (which i hided behind Sue throughout the whole ride)

to their Waiters and Waitresses

It's a big "WOW"

Definitely something worth an experience

We were VIPs with priority entrance queue identified by the lanyard noting your date of death

(yes you read it correctly, it's your date of death)

At the end of the dinner + show

Note their make ups
That's how all their waiters and waitresses look like
They are scary
They might stand behind you while you were eating
Or they might come blow into your ear while you were taking pictures
And they talked really rudely to you
But in fact
They are very friendly people
I remember seeing or hearing from somewhere that they got an award for being the best crew

Last day at Gold Coast Airport

And that's our last day in Gold Coast

Having a light breakfast together in the airport being saying "Goodbye" to each other

She's a uni mate who accompanied me through ups and downs since 1st year 1st semester,

From someone who never says hi and sometimes showing me nasty faces in Sunway Library,

To today being a friend who i have such a sisterly bond with.

Never knowing our paths had crossed each other so many times before,

It's fate which gave us a chance to know each other.

With never ending conversations,

We can talk about anything and everything as long as it's her and me.

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend,

Thank you for being such a great sister,

And most importantly,

Thank you for being the perfect "partner in crime"!

It's a Japanese Restaurant who had won 2009 Gold Coast "Best Fine Dining" and "Supreme Award"

So isn't it a place worth a visit?

Food are served in small portion but it's a 10 course meal + dessert

Luckily we only ordered 1 meal + a la carte

If not we would not have been able to finish our meal

And they only served the next course when you finished one

Which marked the "classy-ness" to Sue and me

Breakfast in Melbas, Surfers Paradise

Morning Melbas and Night Melbas seems like 2 different places

Morning Melbas looks so classy

Night Melbas is toally a happening place

And their food is up to standard

Again we didn't finish what we ordered

But since it's morning

We packed what we couldn't finish and brought it to Wet 'n' Wild

Ordered juices cause we needed those vitamins

Wet 'n' Wild

Wasn't so wild for us cause i can't take rides

But it was a good water session

Me and all the kiddies section

And the tanning session

I don't mind being tanned at all

*unlike some people, hahaha*

Photo taking was after when we were done with the park

And my, u've no idea how delicious the frozen coke was in Wet 'n' Wild

I was sipping 3/4 of the cup away when we 1st initially bought it

Totally ignoring the fact that Sue and me were sharing

Ended up buying a 2nd cup

But i happily sipped 1/2 cup away

Once again ignoring her existence

Our accommodation: Paradise Isles Resort Gold Coast

Apart from the far bit of distance that i'm complaining throughout the whole trip

It was a really cosy place

The house's so neat and clean that you won't feel a tiny bit of uncomfortable upon 1st entering

I was really really pleased with the house condition

And it's safe

Given the fact that we were in Gold Coast during the schoolies season and their wild wild side

Sue and me don't even dare to step into the heart of Surfers Paradise when dark arrives

And see what she did while we were supposed to be preparing to go for a really nice dinner

Gold Coast Day 1

I didn't know Gold Coast was 1 hour faster than Melbourne until Sue told me. And while i'm still in Melbourne terminal waiting to board the plane, she had already reached Gold Coast. Lucky me cause i need to do no waiting, but poor her cause she waited i think more than 2 hours for me.

And so it ended up like she's picking me up from the airport at the arrival exit with the trolley waiting for me and my luggages =P

~ ~ ~

We checked in at our accommodation (pictures up in one of the next few posts).

Getting to our accommodation was no joke with 3 luggage bags and only 2 of us and walking all the way.

We were left with either walking or wait for an hour before the next bus comes,

so we chose walking because we didn't want to waste time.

You wouldn't want to see how embarassing the two of us had been.

After that we headed down to Hard Rock Cafe in Surfers Paradise,

Sue needed to get a pin for her friend.

~ ~ ~

Dinner for the day: Korean food at Mermaid Beach

Online review for this restaurant seems to be receiving good feedbacks and so we went for a try.

It didn't turn out to be a disappointment, indeed the price was very reasonable and as usual, we don't finish what we ordered especially when we are talking about korean food here. =)

Some seafood pancake which taste very omelette style

Spicy pork belly i remember, but not spicy at all

Tofu stew, the most delicious dish for the night

Two exhausted girls ended Day 1 by visiting the beach in Surfers Paradise,

with both of us looking dirty and messy.

Can't see Bernard's name and the Singapore flag on his door any longer

Saw CX giving his food away because he's leaving

And seeing Chee Yang (the 2nd person from the left) moving all his stuff out of the room to go airport to go back

Should it be sadness cause it's always the normal reaction when seeing people leave

Or should it be happiness cause it indicates that i'm going home soon as well

But anyway

I'm too tired for all those don't know which is which emotions

Was cleaning my room a bit just now when the thought that in a few more months time, I'll be doing the same thing but during then, it'll be packing everything into my luggage bag...

I can't wait to go home... To be back in own house... To be sleeping in my own bedroom... To know that i will never be alone when i go home... To hear voices every single night... Though that time will have to comply to family obligations all over again, with never ending house work to be done either every day or every week... I still can't wait to be home sweet home...

A lot of people thought that i'll fly back straight after exams since i'm so homesick... But no... I'm determined... I'll stay through december... At least that's in my mind now... But you never know... Since my return flight is an open ticket... I can always ring up, book a flight and surprise everyone in malaysia... =D

I miss home... But this time not expressing with a sad thought in mind... Instead expressing with a smile cause i know i'm just a few more months away to be sitting in the aeroplane and flying home... =D

Since now i've calmed down from my International Business paper... I shall blog about this... =)

I'm guessing people know what is EU (European Union)... In case you don't know... In short... They are 27 countries removing their trade barriers and allow to trade freely between the member countries...

So there is this sample exam question that goes like this:
What are the issues facing a firm seeking to export into a regional trading bloc like the EU?

And like my last post indicated... Sue uses "unique" ways to help me remember examples... And there you go... This is the answer she sent me...

"So u see... Within a family, u have ur own rules, u have ur own law... So when an outsider wants to join in, it will be more of a hassle than to join a group of frens that is open for new comers... Or for example we take "small flower (let's not mention name)"... If u go out with ur aunt n everyone, than u decide to treat them ice cream... Small flower tag along to go also... But she is not your family so everyone gets free ice cream except her... She has to pay for her ice cream... Which means she has disadvantage cos she had to pay when others don’t..."

Okay... This might not make sense to some of you... But it does to me... Coz she used real examples to make me understand the real disadvantage... But... But... But... International business doesn't allow me to use this type of example... They expect us to use real international countries example... And i studied so much on EU... But nothing of that came out... =(

Nevertheless... I'm just left with psychology papers now... I'm just wishing that i'll pass all my units smoothly this semester... Let us wish for the best... *hugs*

International business's tomorrow and i'm so so not prepared... I haven't even start memorising all the important points...

I'm so so scared that i've called in sick for work for two days and stayed in my room without any contact with anyone except special people of course...

Mom called yesterday... I so needed to hear her voice that i sms her to call... We talked for quite a while... About things in malaysia and what i need her to buy for me... Then i told her i got exam on thursday... And i feel so uncomfortable once more that i'm not seeing any of the familiar faces during this critical part of studies...

Post office not only didn't reprimand me for not going work coz they really think i'm sick... Instead they are pouring me with concern... Grandma and Woon are constantly asking how do i feel and how am i going for my exam tomorrow... Boss/manager called and expressed his concern and told joke to make me feel better... And last but not least... Their luck for me for my exam tomorrow...

Simran smsed as well... Wishing me luck... I miss you... =( ... We have always studied together but this semester is so so different without you by my side... No one to discuss "Wai Chien's department" with... And psychology here doesn't feel like psychology back in malaysia without you...

Last but not least... Of course is Sue... I always have her by my side since the start of Monash... Even though we are now countries apart... But she still fork out time to study with me... To do my sample exam questions with me... But the difference is... No one to buy bubble tea for me when i feel stress... No one to purposely buy ice cream for me when i feel like giving up... No one explaining all the terms to me using examples... And no one creating stupid ways to memorise definitions...

End of 1st Semester 2009

Just had my last lecture of the whole semester... And it also marked the end of this semester... I still feel as though i've not learnt anything extra throughout this whole semester... And it totally explains how screwed i'm feeling right now when exams are starting next thursday... But nevertheless... I still have to sit for exams... I don't wanna retake any unit next semester... It'll be torturing...

Week 13 in australia is so not significant... Normally in malaysia... Week 13 means lecturer giving exams hints and going lecture is a compulsory thing and that's one part of the semester where you'll see the lecture hall being full... Here is like completely different... Week 13 is telling you your exam format and releasing you after 20 minutes with no help at all... Err... How to pick up important points to study... There goes my every lucky semester in monash tipping questions and now i got to study everything...

And as a gentle gentle reminder to people who will read my blog... Please do not call me when it's after 12am... I get really really pissed especially when i'm preparing to sleep... Or if i'm already asleep and you wake me up... You will be blacklisted immediately... What's there to talk in the middle of the night...

But of course... It's a different story if i'm the one calling... Hehehe... But again... Why will i still be awake at that point of time... If i am... Then something must be quite wrong...

And i am not at all planning to have any boy girl relationship during my whole stay in australia... So please do not give yourself unrealistic hope...

Mouse in my room

It's 2.40am now... I know it's late... I'm tired... And definitely sleepy... But i just didn't feel like switching my laptop off to go to bed...

So yah... Mouse in my room... Wonder how i can be so calm while typing this post... But the night i knew for certain the mouse was in my room... I totally freaked out... I know people reading will surely be thinking... "Come on, there's are so many more rats in malaysia running on the road and it's only a mouse now"... But people... Imagine you have no single idea how many days you have been sleeping with the mouse in the same room... I tell you... You will cry... Coz i almost did...

The 1st person who came into my mind was Chee Yang... Apparently he stays downstairs and can come to my help immediately... But who knows... He's also afraid of mouse... And so we got another neighbour of mine who helped out... We left our door open and started to move the things around where the mouse was and it ran off...

Sue was on the phone with me throughout the whole incident... After the mouse was out from my room... I sat on my bed for at least an hour before i was willing to get down the bed to clean up... It was already 1.30am that time... I really got scared and i couldn't sleep that night... I was very alert to sounds the whole night that day or even till today...

I thought everything came to an end... But the mouse came in view again today... This time round it was on Chee Yang's floor... And so Chee Yang thought of folding cardboards and stick it to the bottom of the door to prevent the mouse from entering the room... He suggested me the night itself the mouse was in my room with this idea... But i rejected it instantly coz i thought the mouse will leave my stairway after there was such a big scene about it... Little did i expect it to be still around... And so today while he was making it... He asked me again whether i want it... And this time round... My mentality is... "It's better than nothing"... And he made it... And he helped me to fix it... So Chee Yang... A big thank you to you... =D

I feel so dumb... And i'm so stressed up till i missed everything today...

Missed work from 11am-3pm...

Missed PSY2031 lecture from 3pm-5pm...

Going to miss IB tutorial from 6pm-7pm...

And so going to miss IB lecture from 7pm-9pm... And it's my 3rd week of missing IB lecture already...

All i want now is my report to be done nicely and it will balance off all my negative thinkings in my head now...

7th assignment + senior

I'm so glad i'm not taking any accounting units... There is this girl sitting in front of me currently doing an accounting unit assignment with all the "dr" and "cr" figures on excel and it reminds me of the horrible period during my 1st year 1st semester in monash...

Anyway... I'm now in campus center ITS... Didn't feel like going home straight after work and since i'll waste more time when i go home... Might as well stick my butt here and start doing my next assignment...

7th assignment was completed yesterday... Whenever i'm doing or done with a psychology assignment nowadays... It all brings back the same question to me... "Why am i still in this when i've already lose the passion?" But i guess i've gone so far till i'm not eligible to actually say i wanna give up now... Of course... This thought really struck me... And monash has impose such a scary environment that deferring from it or dropping out of uni had actually struck me the second time in two years time... Average once a year...

Senior came post office and surprised me today...!!! Something that lightens up my day when i'm feeling really exhausted... And senior... After you left... My boss says you are cute... Nah... He's not gay... But he thought you and me had something on... But that is so not true...!!! Seeing senior reminds me of malaysia time... Seeing you going out of post office and knowing you will soon be back in malaysia for good, it reminds me of how i left malaysia and everything back there... =(

I guess i should start on my next psychology assignment...

She's practically my aunt... Yes... My biological aunt... Not those not related auntie from don't know where... She's just like my second mom... Willing to fetch me off from school every day when i'm in high school even though she has no obligation... Took care of my everything everything and really everything a mom will do for her daughter when mom was in usa for 3 months without any complains even though she had mei mei already at that point of time... Take me everywhere, bonding session every weekends, get me things i need even thought it's costly and simply putting... Yes... She's another person who pampers me a lot... It's my blessing to have her as my aunt... She's always in my list of preparation for mother's day...

5th assignment... 1st 3rd year unit assignment for uni submitted yesterday... More assignments are yet to come... One upcoming on this sunday...

Am currently in library... Did something bad... Went for 1 hour of psychology lab and decided i don't want to stay on... So i made up an excuse and skipped the 2nd hour of lab...

I really don't understand why am i studying psychology... Whatever i'm studying now doesn't seems to be what i think i should be studying... But anyway... I'm halfway through... But most probably i won't strive to pursue 4th year psychology programme... It seems to be a waste of time and that might not be the field i want to be in after all...

I'm happy today... I did shopping for my family members and i was tellin Sue how dissappointed i get when people get you souvenirs for the sake of giving you something... So i'll definitely not do last minute shopping... And not to doubt... Mei mei always took most of my money away... :D

4th assignment... International business... The only major assignment for the unit... 35%... It took half of me away... But nevertheless... I've done and submitted it... I shall now recharge myself and pick up all the pieces of me and shall then start on the next psychology assignment... Another 35%... *big sad sad face*

Bendigo

Day trip to Bendigo organized by Monash Residential Service (MRS)... It costs us $40 after subsidizing... But in general... Bendigo isn't such an attractive place...

1) Bendigo Pottery - a boring place to see machines and machines and machines again

2) Golden Dragon Musuem - even worst, not only there's nothing to see, the statues there are scary, symbolize those seen in ghost movies in my perception...

Obviously this are not the "ghost statues" but this is the main highlight of the musuem, Dragon

3) Central Deborah Gold Mine - the most enjoyable place of the whole day trip... Get to go underground 60m to see gold mine and of course with good company of laughter we had...

Cheltenham DFO

Went with Victoria... It wasn't really that up to expectation... Yes it was indeed bigger than the one in Spencer Street... But i found the things sold in Spencer Street better as compared to Cheltenham one...

Victoria counted... We both shopped for 5 hours without stopping for lunch and only grab a cup of coffee each... My best item bought of the day was corelle plate and bowl... Wanted to snap pictures of it... But i was lazy to transfer from camera to laptop so just leave it... Using corelle plate and bowl remind me of home and family... At least it was a good attempt to make myself feel more homey in my room here...

So so dead cause i haven't start on any assignment yet... On the urge of crying already but i'm quite mentally exhausted to get myself start on assignment... I rather have tests than assignments...

Philip Island + Brother

Philip Island

Basically, Philip Island is the name of the island with many attraction places on it with of course their most famous, The Penguin Parade... I think that's why everytime people always equate Philip Island as Penguin Parade and Penguin Parade as Philip Island... It confused my brother and me so much that only after i've came back now from Philip Island that i know the difference...

Entry into Philip Island is FREE... But to go for the different individual attractions on Philip Island has an admission fee... It's just like going sunway lagoon in sunway... Entering sunway is free... But you have to pay admission fee to go sunway lagoon... So basically there are 6 main attractions on the island...

1) Chocolate factory

We didn't go for the factory factory... We decided to drop by because there was a very large "Free Samples" wordings on the factory which i guess attracts everyone else also... I looked through the pamphlet and it reminds me of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... It kinds of feels interesting... After all, i'm a big time fan of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"... Bought a new version of the book and the original vcd when it was on the screen... But i only looked through the pamphlet when i reached back home... If not i'll tell gor gor that i want to go in and have a look...

2) Churchill island

Cow Highland

What is Churchill Island then... Such a fascinating name... Churchill Island is the first farm in Victoria (if i didn't remember wrongly)... And the mascot for it was a type of cow call "Cow Highland"... And you'll only see it upon your entrance... And other then that... Churchill Island has those antique cottages of the first family who stayed there (imagine being in a museum) and some farm animals like chicks, goats and horses (imagine being in a zoo)... I was quite turned down when i was there... I guess i don't belong to the nature group... :)

3) Koala Conservation Centre

Have i blogged about my melbourne zoo trip... I don't remember i did... But just a short recap of what happened in the melbourne zoo... I was expecting highly of seeing koalas in the zoo since it is an australian animal... But after walking a long distance to the koala area, there was only one koala... Just ONE in the zoo... I don't understand why they didn't have more... It don't make melbourne zoo that stand out then after all... Okay... Not only was there only one koala... I didn't even get to see it properly... The whole time i was standing there trying to get a better glimpse of it and all i managed to see is just it's backside... And i've been complaining about it since then...

So then i told my brother that this time round i don't want to see koala's backside anymore... And i managed to see koalas sleeping... At least i am slightly more contented now that i've seen koalas...

4) Amaze 'n' Things

Amaze 'n' Things is a place like Genting's Ripley's Believe It Or Not... Oh wait... Before i confuse people... I didn't go for this either... But from the pamphlet... It definately gives me that sense of direction... It'll be interesting if we went cause i'm sure there'll be lots of laughter from it... But then... If the company is not that close with each other... It defeats the purpose of going for it also... So it was a good choice made in the end of not going...

5) Noobies Center

The mascot for this is seals... But i seen none... This time round is worse... I see NONE...!!! But the scenery is nice... It's really really nice... I didn't know i'll actually like this type of environment this much but i fell in love immediately when the wind blows... How i wish i can stay by this type of sea side with such nice scenery just once a year for a relaxing holiday...

6) Penguin Parade

Highlight of the whole trip... But i was again disappointed... Not because it was not good... It's an individual problem... The penguins that i saw was not the type that i always thought it will be... My perception about penguins are black and white... Black and white... And again black and white... But those penguins we see at this parade are greyish with white... My brother say to see black and white penguins... Get all the thickest clothings and set off to antartic to see... And my brother knew it straight that the penguin parade wouldn't be interesting for me cause that's not the type of penguins i want to see... To add on to that... I've to sit by the sea side since 4.50pm till 6.30pm to wait for the penguins to come back on shore... If there was a good company... The time will pass a lot faster with talkings and laughings... But cause there wasn't any common topic between me and my brother's girlfriend and sister... I sat there feeling totally bored...

This is then call penguins, my black and white penguins...!!!

I wouldn't say Philip Island is a very interesting place but i definately recommend people to go for once cause it's worth it... But if it was to ask me whether i will go for a second time... I'll have to reconsider... But anyone who's reading my blog and think of going Philip Island... Do contact me... I've got discount cards for it... You don't have to pre-book the tickets online even if it's public holidays... They over exaggerate it online that it's essential to book online first... They are smart to say that cause then you won't be able to use those discount vouchers or anything related after that...

And i met Wei Yun there... What a coincidence... And Yoong Tat went there on friday... Now i'm wondering whether Jojo went to the same place as me also... :)

To second brother

A big sincere thanks to you for coming down for me... It's both a cure and yet a new start to my homesick... Cure because i finally get to live with a family member after 8 weeks but a new start because after you left, the awful feeling which hit me when i first reach melbourne of don't know what to do tomorrow and the feeling of how am i going to live alone hit me all over again... But leaving all of that... It was a great time spent with you... Especially all the talks we had when it's only you and me...

I guess this is what makes a family special... Getting to hear a family member's voice... To hear someone to chase you to go shower cause it's late... To hear someone to tell you to faster go brush your teeth... Perhaps i'm the youngest and cause i'm the most talkative... So they always chase me to do all these very tedious stuff... Because i've got long hair... So i should never take late shower + it's not good to shower late... Maybe because i always ask them stuff they don't want to answer... So i'll be chased off to do those stuff... It's just all these small small things which make a family "Family"...

And we talked to daddy and mommy and big brother and mei mei together... The family feeling of them back in malaysia and me and second brother here in australia... Daddy sounded good when he was talking to me... Maybe he was quite taken back the last time when i cried on the phone and so this time round he talked very cheerfully to prevent me from crying most probably... Mommy was good... I'm sure she'll felt very glad that second brother came all the way to check that i'm alright... Big brother was busy with work and we didn't talk long cause it was late and me and second brother got to sleep soon...

A special paragraph for mei mei... My second brother was complainin he didn't want to talk on phone anymore cause he was tired and blah blah blah... But in the end... I think he got more excited then me when he heard mei mei's voice... And mei mei sang for us through the phone... How heartwarming...!!! No wonder i'll sayang her so much... She totally deserves that 101% of love from me... She was cute when talking on the phone with me... This is just a small conversation between her and me... I'll translate it to english so everyone can understand...

Mei mei: Cousin sister, why you haven't come home yet...

Wai Chien: Cause i'm studying in australia...

Mei mei: Why "yi ma ( my mother)" don't let you come home...

Wai Chien: Cause i made "yi ma" angry and she changed the house lock...

Mei mei: Say sorry to "yi ma' and tell "yi ma' don't be like this...

And after saying that... Mei mei called out to my mom and told my mom saying i've got something to tell her... That's just so how innocent a child's mind is... She still don't understand the concept of why am i not home after studying... I wish i could though...

So now i'm all alone again... Senior was a pilot and didn't get to see him in the end... So the next familiar person in line that i'll see will be Sue coming in july...

And Angie is here in aussie... I was shocked to receive her call... Wonder if she'll come across my blog... But just to let you know... Thanks for the call and hopefully we'll get to see each other before you fly back to malaysia... *hugs*

8 weeks... 2 months...???

And so it's officially my 8th week here in melbourne... :)

Or should i say 2 months... But if i were to say 2 months... It should fall on the 14th of April and not today the 11th... But whichever way it is... The fact is i've landed on australia land for 8 weeks...!!!

And it also means i've been away from home for 8 weeks... The longest period of time ever since the past 20 years... And it's still counting on...

So when it was 1 month... Remember i had the cooking session with a group of friends... Guess what's my "rewards" this time round during my 2nd month... 2nd brother came all the way down from adelaide for me...!!! Alright, i know i've mentioned it before... But do feel the excitement from me... *yeah*

It all happened as a coincidence again... Not really as if brother purposely choose to come down during my 2nd month in australia... It just happened that our holiday started on friday by the way... Good friday is a public holiday here... So brother travelled down on friday and reached around 9+pm... Quite late... But nothing beats the fact that brother arrived... So he reached my place, took shower and a bit of a rest... And he brought me to a place i've never been to before... There's an age limit to enter and something i disapprove of doing ---> The Crown... Well, you all should be able to guess what the Crown is already... It's a casino... I've definately not enter Genting's casino before because i haven't reach 21 years... But i think australia age limit is 18 (never mind about that, they let me in after all)...

And all in such a coincidence again... I stepped into the casino at 12midnight... What a good welcome to my 8 weeks... They told me that australia casino will have better environment as compared to malaysia cause most importantly... Australia casino don't allow you to smoke inside... First time into Crown... I've never expect that it'll be so big inside (afterall it's my first time entering a casino)... Other than that... Nothing really attracts me... Cause all the tables, people betting, we'll have seen a whole heaps of it on television programs...

Let's now go into saturday program then... We were suppose to go bendigo in the morning... And then city tour after bendigo trip... Being tourists... A lot of times, time needed to travel are hard to estimate... And oh yah... Did i forget to mention my brother brought his girlfriend and his girlfriend's sister along on the trip also...

1) First we decided not to go bendigo because there's this citylink we have to pass through... We don't really know what's citylink, we don't know the amount we have to pay and lastly, we don't know the methods of paying... Given so much of trouble, might as well don't go and don't have to think so much...

2) It takes 2.30 hours just to travel to bendigo... To and fro takes up a total of 5 hours... We have decided that it's not worth the travel... And so... Conclusion is cancel bendigo trip and just walk around city...

I didn't stay with them for long in the city in the end... There's nothing i got to buy... I don't know them well and there's no common topic... And it's weird when my brother is talking with the girlfriend but me and the girlfriend's sister got nothing to talk about... And it seems even not right if my brother keeps talking to me and not the girlfriend... And the girlfriend and me also seldom talk... I do feel uncomfortable... Yes i know second brother will read this... I just wanted to let you know that the situation has been weird... I tried but after all... Your sister, me, really do have a personality that i don't get along well with people easily... I'm sorry... I really apologise... All i could do was not to show my unhappinese... I didn't want to make things hard for you... I know what girlfriends want... Cause i'm a girl also... I want you to enjoy the melbourne trip to the maximum... I want you to spend a fruitful time with your girlfriend... So i left city by myself first...

That's how my 8th week anniversay in australia pass by... No photos taken... Nothing... Just another peaceful saturday... Going philip island tomorrow... And for those who don't know... Philip island main's attraction is to see penguins... Hopefully pictures will be taken and tomorrow will be a better day...

Never the less... I still appreciate the fact that second brother drove all the way down with one main motive in mind which is to see me and make sure things are alright... We still did have heart to heart talk though a lot lesser... But sometimes it's better to count your blessings than complaints... So...

有时真的很怀疑自己是不是一个很不合群的人...

难道合群人的定意就是每次出去,要去社交活动blah blah blah吗...

或许这就是很多现代人的定意吧...

换句话说,我应该是脱节了吧...

如果就因为这样我会少了很多玩乐,我想我不稀罕...

I've got myself a part time job ( I think )... It's working in a post office in campus center... So not my type i know... I'm still wondering what makes me give up on famous amos training session by the end of the day to stay loyal to post office... But since i've made up my mind and i needed that extra money... I guess i'll just put up with it till the end...

Senior had arrivied in melbourne... Received his call earlier on... Will be seeing him tomorrow ( I think again )... I wish i can though... But i got post office work from basically 9am to 5pm... Hope he'll still be around and our time can coordinate...

Made up my mind to go Sydney with Sue in july also... There's no more saying "no" cause we had already booked the air tickets... Unless something really happened that change my mind to give up on the air tickets and not go... If not... It's going to be sydney on the 10th of july...

Am suppose to go Adelaide as well... Since gor gor, senior and Robin ( high school friend ) will be there... It'll be good to see how's Adelaide like... It's a long story to why i didn't book the tickets to adelaide now but the explanation is i'm waitin for exams timetable to be out and only then i will be able to plan my trip down to adelaide... Worst come to worse if air flights are too expensive to buy by that time... I'll just take bus...

Not forgetting Joanna in Canberra... If there's any chance and i managed to save money to visit you... I'll definately go there for you... But that's a bit too early to plan... Cause after all you won't be around during june...

Second brother coming down to melbourne on friday during easter break ( I know i should sound excited but still in a down mood currently but in fact i do feel excited, just the expressing is a bit down)... He'll be coming along with his girlfriend (1st time seeing his girlfriend, heard she's really pretty from the others who had seen her before in malaysia... I didn't get to meet her cause if you guys still remember, i worked 7 days a week)... So yah... Waiting for the weekend to come now to spend time with brother... Wish him a safe safe journey down and his car will behave and not give him any trouble along the way...

Mid semester break starting soon too... Nothing exciting... I can imagine myself a lot more excited if i'm back in malaysia as compared to now... All these still draw to a conclusion... I'm still missing home a lot... I wish i can shorten my exchange period to 1 semester (I know i can) but apart from family, there's nothing much in malaysia which makes me think i should go back for...
